Roxbury has an interesting history. Did you know we are actually situated on what was once a lake? Roxbury VT now lies in a flood plain, which makes it vulnerable to storms like Tropical Storm Irene, which badly damaged areas of Roxbury in 2011.
Roxbury was once home to a Jason G. Hall’s watch tool factory, verde antique marble quarries, talc quarries, and logging mills. It is home to the oldest working fish culture station in Vermont.
