Waste Services

In 2020, the Town of Roxbury, VT entered into an agreement with Randolph-based The Mountain Alliance, to provide waste management services, including the semi-annual Hazardous Waste Disposal Days events.

Household Hazardous Waste Days
The Mountain Alliance in accordance with the SWIP holds Special Collection Days. Visit http://www.mtalliance.org/hazardous-waste/location-and-date-listing/ for a list of upcoming HHW events.

These events are for the residents of: Randolph, Brookfield, Braintree, Roxbury and Northfield ONLY!


Green Up Day 2022
Green Up Day is May 7, 2022! Go to greenupvermont.org to find out more as well as how to participate in your community!
Vermont was the first state to designate a day to clean up the entire state. Started in 1970 by Gov. Deane C. Davis, Green Up Day 1971 was also officially recorded in the Congressional Record, thanks to US Senator George Aiken.

About Mountain Alliance

The Mountain Alliance is managed by the Mountain Alliance Advisory Committee with assistance from Casella Waste Management. A member from each Town (Northfield, Braintree, Brookfield, Randolph & Roxbury) serve on the Advisory Committee. The Committee meets quarterly to discuss matters related to solid waste management and provide Solid Waste Implementation Plan (SWIP) updates.
